Every so often we need a sympathy card, right? The new Peaceful Moments stamp set has a nice sympathy sentiment that I like, and the Painted Poppies stamp set has the prettiest poppies. They made just the card I needed!
This card is watercolored with an Aqua Painter on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Watercoloring with an Aqua Painter is very similar to using alcohol markers for coloring. It’s easy and relaxing š
The poppies were stamped on the watercolor paper with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Then the poppies were watercolored with Terracotta Tile ink. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzaz ink and then watercolored also with Pear Pizzaz ink.
To add more dimension and interest I heat embossed a few more of the small poppies with the White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They were watercolored with Daffodil Delight ink and fussy cut. I also stamped a few more leaves in the same manner as above, watercolored them, and fussy cut them also. They were then added in and adhered with Multipurpose Glue and some with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The watercolored panel was then glued onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and then glued again onto a standard Whisper White card stock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base, scored at 4-1/4.” The sentiment was stamped in Terracotta Tile ink on Whisper White card stock and punched with the Timeless Label Punch. The label was then attached to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The poppies are so pretty! I’m going to be using this stamp set a lot! Here’s a fun video showing you the entire suite ~ so many gorgeous coordinating items!!
