Poinsettia Petals Stampin' Up! Peggy Noe

The Poinsettia Place Suite is one of my top 5 favorites in the new Stampin’ Up! August – December 2020 Mini Catalog. Today’s card is another of – many – ways this fabulous suite can be used!

Poinsettia Petals Card Stampin' Up! Peggy Noe

Begin with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Whisper White card stock base scored at 4-1/4.” Adhere a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Poppy Parade card stock using Multipurpose Glue. Using a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp a few sprigs of berries in the upper left corner using Garden Green ink. Color the berries with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. Using the stamp with just the berries, stamp arbitrarily around the rest of the piece with Poppy Parade ink, first stamping off once each time. Adhere this piece to the card using Multipurpose Glue.

For this card the poinsettia was cut from Poppy Parade card stock using the three flower layers from the Poinsettia Dies, including the inserts with the veins. After die cutting the flowers, curl the petals under using a bone folder. Then delicately “paint” the veins on each petal using Frost White Shimmer Paint and a Blender Pen. Let dry and then assemble the flower – adding an additional Whisper White small flower – using Multipurpose Glue. Place a Silver Metallic Pearl. Adhere the flower in the to top left corner of the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Stamp the leaves on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Garden Green ink, cut with the dies, and tuck in under the flower, adhering with Multipurpose Glue.

Punch a piece of Garden Green card stock with the Label Me Fancy Punch. Stamp a small 3/4″ x 2″ piece of Whisper White card stock with the Happy Holidays stamp using Poppy Parade ink. Using Paper Snips, flag the ends close to the sentiment as shown. Adhere the sentiment strip to the punched piece using Multipurpose Glue. Adhere the entire thing to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
