Strawberries are coming! They’ve started appearing in our grocery store and they are a sure sign of spring. The first day of spring this year is this coming Sunday, so today’s card is spring coming to my blog!
Of course you have to use the Sweet Strawberry Bundle. For the strawberries, I used Polished Pink ink on the strawberry stamp, then I added some Daffodil Delight ink to the right side of the stamp with a Thumb Dauber. Then I stamped the strawberry outline stamp over that in Real Red ink. After the strawberries were punched out I painted them with Wink of Stella so they sparkle!!
The leaves and flowers were stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and then the leaves were lightly water painted with Granny Apple Green ink. The centers of the flowers were colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
The strawberries and leaves were tucked in and around a basket – my favorite basket die from the Seasonal Basket Die Set. This is a great versatile basket and I love it. This die also fits easily in the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine that’s now on sale!
The sentiments in this stamp set are great, and of course a “thank you” sentiment is perfect in any stamp set. Personally I use a lot of thank you notes for my customers, so I always love to see this sentiment in a set.
