We always need thank you cards, don’t we? These days I find that many times people will text their thank you. But nothing can replace an actual thank you card, especially a pretty handmade one!
I do make a lot of thank you cards (for my customers and for my team), but today’s card is for the Global Design Project “Case the Designer” Challenge. We are to copy any aspect of this beautiful card by Emma Goddard.
For my card, I used a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and some Daffodil Delight ink and brushed some wide yellow lines in a “ray” pattern. After that dried, I adhered it to a Basic White card base.
A piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon was cut in half lengthwise, tied in a bow, and adhered to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. A White Baker’s Twine Bow was adhered next to the gingham bow. The rose was stamped in Sahara Sand ink on some Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored with Daffodil Delight ink. The center of the rose was painted in Crushed Curry ink, and a Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blend was used to add some dots to the center.
The rose was adhered over the bows with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few leaves were punched from Parakeet Party cardstock using the Bough Punch, and adhered under the rose with tiny dots of Multipurpose Glue. The sentiment was cut out from Basic Black cardstock using the Amazing Thanks Dies.
