Valentine cards are so much fun to make! I love hearts and flowers, and together they create beautiful cards. I don’t know about you, but I send Valentine cards to my friends, and it’s cards like this that I like to make and. send.
The hearts on this card were punched from Basic White cardstock with the Scalloped Heart Punch from the Heart Punch Pack. They were colored with Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo ink using Blending Brushes.
Below is a replay of the video showing you exactly how to create today’s card:
The new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder adds SO MUCH texture to this card. When layering, especially when layering white on white, adding texture with an embossing folder makes a real difference.
To create the flowers, I used the stamping off technique. First ink the stamp, then stamp on a scrap piece of paper, and then stamp on Basic White cardstock. This “dilutes” the ink enough to give a lighter shade of the ink and a soft look to your flower. The flowers were then cut with the coordinating die.
