When you think of a valentine, the first thing you think is “red,” right? Yes, valentines are red – and some other colors 🙂 So today’s card is a nice red – Sweet Sorbet – valentine with a bit of white and black.
The red paper is from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. This is one of my favorite patterns. Here it’s cut with one of the Scalloped Contour Dies.
Before adhering this piece to the Basic White cardstock base, run some Black & White Gingham Ribbon through loops on the left and the right sides and tie in a bow on the left edge.
Cut a 1″ x 4″ piece of Sweet Sorbet Country Gingham paper. Adhere the gingham to a 1-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, and then adhere both to the card, just under the ribbon.
Using Basic Black, Basic White, and Sweet Sorbet cardstock, cut little hearts with the die in the Love for You Dies. Adhere the hearts to the strip of gingham paper using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Love for You stamp set and is stamped in Real Red ink on a strip of Basic White cardstock and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals just above the ribbon.
Don’t forget to use my January Host Code with your order of $50 or more, and I will send you my FREE GIFT of the Raindrops Embossing Folder!
