Last week was my daughter’s birthday and I made these fun gift bags and a coordinating card. I was so excited with the way everything turned out! I used the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper to create the bags.

I followed a fabulous tutorial by Amanda Fowler of Inspiring Inkin’. I know you’ll want to see her video; CLICK HERE. 

The flowers were created using a new technique I learned where I sponged card stock and spritzed it with alcohol and shimmer paint. I then punched the card stock with a scalloped heart punch and glue gunned the hearts together at their pointed bases, alternating them in a circle form. I then scrunched the flower together tightly in my hand. To add the silver and copper on the edges, I pressed the tops of the petals into Versamark ink, sprinkled embossing powder on them, and set with a heat gun. The centers of the flowers were made using a 3/4″ strip of Silver Foil or Basic Black card stock. Cut into one long side of the strip about every 1/8″ then roll the strip up and glue gun it into the center of the flower.

I made a coordinating card also using this beautiful designer series paper. The flowers on the card were cut from Petal Pink card stock with the Cherry Blossom Dies. Some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels were placed in the centers. The sentiment from the Parisian Beauty stamp set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White card stock, and cut out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
