Butterfly Beauty Card!

Stampin' Up! Beauty Abounds Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

This is a card we made over the weekend at my local classes and I thought you’d like to see it!¬†

Stampin' Up! Beauty Abounds Card - Pretty Paper Cards - stampinup

It was created using the Beauty Abounds Bundle. This is an amazing bundle! There are 20 dies in the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits that come as part of the bundle – wow! If you love butterflies, this is definitely the set for you! ūüôā

The butterflies on today’s card are cut from both Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape card stock. These two purples go so well together! The yellow I used is the soft So Saffron. A beautiful color combination!

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. Do you ever find a sentiment that you just love? That’s the way I feel about “a little note.” I love the font and I love the saying because it is SO versatile! It can convey hi, or hello, or thinking of you, or so sorry or…just about anything. It’s one I will be using a lot!

Beauty Abounds for Global Design Project (GDP173)

Stampin' Up! Beauty Abounds - Peggy Noe - stampinup

This light subtle card was created with the color palette from this week’s Global Design Project Challenge. You can see the pretty colors below.

The background of this card was watercolored with the three colors layered from bottom to top. They just give a soft blended background for the layered card stock pieces.

This is the first time I’ve used the Beauty Abounds Bundle and it is SO pretty! The butterfly dies are truly beautiful. For this card I used one of the butterflies and the stem die (I’m not really sure what to call this die, what would you call it?). Anyway, they gorgeous? And I had to sneak in a heart frame from the Be Mine Heart Framelits ūüôā Did you have a chance to see my video about the Be Mine Framelits? I’ll post it below in case you didn’t see it.

You can use these hearts anywhere!! Here I’ve used a Whisper White heart frame behind the butterfly. I love the way the bright white looks against the watercolored background ūüôā

Peggy’s Pointer: Heat emboss your sentiment on a strip of vellum. This allows the beauty of the card to show through and blends easily with your color theme!

Spring Tulips!

God Bless You 1

Been playing around with tulips. ¬†They just say spring, and this card has a whole bouquet of them! ¬†They are colored with various yellows and pinks and purples. ¬†Doesn’t it just look like a beautiful garden?

God Bless Tulips

The tulips are from the little Love is Kindness stamp. ¬†You can just see a real garden of tulips with a butterfly hovering over them, can’t you?

God Bless Butterfly

I’m thinking of those of you back East. ¬†Tulips will be coming up soon back there. ¬†Out here in California we have to put bulbs in the freezer and then take them out later and plant them in the ground to get such beautiful flowers.

God Bless You 2God bless you today, and thanks for stopping by!!

Beautiful Butterfly Birthday!

H's card closed

Hi Friends! ¬†Ok, so I saw a card made by a wonderful stamper, Erica Cerwin, and I knew it would be the perfect design for a card for my daughter for her birthday. ¬†My daughter’s favorite color is purple, so I changed up the sample using the most purple and bling I could find!

H's card cu

I used a belly band in gold foil paper to hold the card together.  The beautiful butterflies are cut from Blackberry Bliss and Raspberry Ripple card stock.

H's card inside

The above photo is of the inside of the card. ¬†I like to add bling and this gold striped vellum added the perfect touch. ¬†The inside of the card would also be a pretty outside of a card. ¬†But I wanted to go a bit overboard, as it is a special card ūüôā

H's card part openHere’s the card partially open, without the belly band. ¬†I can’t wait to give it to her and see what she thinks!
