Lacy Pressed Petals!

This card features the new Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper ~ oh my goodness, it’s so beautiful. It has lovely pressed flowers; and it’s simple yet with a fresh vintage feel. I just have to say that this year our Designer Series Papers are out of this world!!

Today’s card starts with a Rococo Rose card base topped with a piece of the Pressed Petals paper. A double panel was created with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies: the larger piece is cut from Very Vanilla card stock, and that is topped with another piece of the Pressed Petals paper cut with a die one size smaller that the first one. I love this look!

Before adhering the double panel, a Pearlized Doily was watercolored with an Aqua Painter and Rococo Rose ink. Allow it to dry and adhere it to the center of the card with dots of Multipurpose Glue.

Cut a 1″ x 4″ piece of the reverse side of the designer series paper and adhere it across the lower portion of the card, over a bit of the doily. Tie a piece of Scalloped Lace Trim around the double panel, making a bow in the front. Adhere this panel onto the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut the “thanks” sentiment from Very Vanilla card stock using the Well Written Dies. Adhere the first three letters of the word “thanks” to the edge of the panel with a few dots of Multipurpose Glue. The rest of the word will be unattached. Add a few of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones!
