Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party  – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin' Up! Cup of Christmas Fancy Fold - Peggy Noe

My favorite retiring item is the Cup of Christmas Bundle (the stamp set and the Cup of Cheer Dies). A cup of warm coffee, tea or hot chocolate with whipped cream makes me feel like the holidays, especially when there’s a candy cane in it! Today’s card is a fun z-fold card that shows off this bundle.

The colors used on today’s card are Mint Macaron, Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White. I really LOVE these colors together!

The Whisper White card base is cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4.” Cut 2 strips of Subtles Designer Series Paper (a Mint Macaron piece), one at 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ and the other at 4″ x 5-1/4.” Adhere them as shown. Cut 2 Whisper White pieces at 3″ x 4.” and one Lovely Lipstick piece at 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4.” Adhere the Lovely Lipstick piece to the front of one of the Whisper White pieces, then adhere both to the right half of the front fold of the card as shown.

Using Lovely Lipstick ink, stamp the cup outline stamp on a scrap of Shimmery White card stock. Take an Aqua Painter, mix a few drops of water with a small bit of Lovely Lipstick ink, and very lightly watercolor the cup, being careful to stay well within the lines. Let dry and then cut out with the coordinating die.

Cut a Pearlized Doily in half and adhere it to the lower portion of the Lovely Lipstick piece with tiny dots of Multipurpose Glue. Adhere the cup over the doily using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Apply White Embossing Paste to a scrap of Whisper White card stock in a manner that looks like frosting or whipped cream. While the paste is still soft, cover with Ice Stampin’ Glitter. Lightly press the glitter into the paste and shake off the excess. Set aside to dry. Trim the card stock very close to the dried paste, creating a little piece of whipped cream 🙂 Slip the lower edge under the top of the cup and adhere the piece with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the two candy cane dies in the Cup of Cheer Die Set, cut the base of the candy cane from Whisper White card stock and cut the stripes from Lovely Lipstick card stock. Adhere the stripes to the base using dots of Multipurpose Glue. Slide the bottom portion of the candy cane under the whipped cream piece and adhere with a few dots of Multipurpose Glue.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Lovely Lipstick card stock using Versamark ink; cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set with a heat gun. Snip the sentiment out with Paper Snips and adhere partially over the cup (use a Stampin’ Dimensional on the left side and Multipurpose Glue to adhere it to the cup).

Tie a tiny bow out of 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in Call Me Clover. Adhere to the handle of the cup with a Mini Glue Dot.

Adhere the remaining piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card as shown. Stamp a sentiment of your choice from the set (I like them all) in Lovely Lipstick on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. Punch with a 1″ Circle Punch and adhere at the top portion of the Whisper White piece.
