Oh my gosh, look at this embossing folder! It’s G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!! I love it!! I thought the Tin Tile Embossing Folder was my favorite, and I do love it, but when I used this one – it was all over…favorite folder EVER!!!!
Today’s card is not hard. The products do all the work for you, starting with the brand new Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I know that’s a bit of a mouthful so, just remember LACE! You are going to want to put this at the top of your Wish List! I’ll be using this folder a lot, you can be sure of that!
The sentiment is part of the new Forever Lovely stamp set. It’s one of the first sets I ordered. This sentiment is so nice for a birthday, and is versatile enough to be used for other occasions. Here it’s stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and then cut out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits. Another framelit, just a bit bigger and scalloped, was used to cut Lovely Lipstick card stock. It was placed under the first circle so it just barely shows but is enough to add color.
Another new product, the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies, have a sweet little rose and leaf die, so I cut a few of those from Whisper White card stock and affixed them to the back of the sentiment circle. The bold Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon makes a nice contrast against the Powder Pink paper.
The Forever Lovely stamp set at first sight appears to be a Valentine stamp set. But if you look closer you will see that it can also be used for birthdays and general love cards. This type of versatility really adds value to your stamp sets.
Mark your calendars for January 3 2019! That’s when the new Occasions Catalog will go live. In the meantime, get your Wish List ready!!
Even though we are now into the holiday season, we still have birthdays to remember! And today’s card is a fun birthday card with a hint of the holidays 🙂 The design is from the Global Design Project for this week ~ here’s the sample design I followed:
This is a fun sketch! I don’t think I’ve ever punched a circle out of the side of a panel of cardstock the way it is here in the sketch. But it was new and I enjoyed the challenge!
For me the focus of the card is the darling plaid background from a sheet of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper. This paper is in the Annual Catalog, so you can get it all year long!! I just really like this plaid. Here are the colors I used:
Granny Apple Green is so pretty. It’s bright and clear, a wonderful fresh green. And Lovely Lipstick is such a dark pink it almost looks red in some settings. Combining these colors makes a modern twist on the standard holiday colors!
The little sprigs/berries were cut from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. FYI, these dies are carrying over from the Holiday Catalog! That means they will be available into the new year! Yippee!
I’d love to hear what you think of this color combination! And, I so enjoy your comments!

The Happiness Surrounds stamp set is one of my favorites! And the reason is that it’s so versatile. You can use it year round for lots of occasions. Today I’ve used it for a birthday card!
Happiness Surrounds has coordinating dies for the leaves and berries above. For today’s card I’ve used colors from the 2018-2020 In Color Collection. Aren’t they pretty? Three strands of 1/8″ Lovely Lipstick Grosgrain Ribbon are layered under the flower.
This great stamp and die set are only available until November 30th, so be sure to grab them while you can! They are part of the Snowflake Showcase Suite ~ just click the graphic below 🙂

The most beautiful rose stamp EVER is this one from the Healing Hugs stamp set! I just love it! And for a feminine birthday card what could be better?
For today’s card I used a sheet from the Subtles 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Pack as the background panel. The beautiful roses were stamped with Grapefruit Grove ink and the leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green ink. Remember that these stamps are some of our DistINKtive stamps which are made in a special way to give great depth to the image.
Look at the leaves ~ see how one leaf is darker than the other and the lighter leaf shows such detail? That all comes from one single stamp!! The roses and leaves were fussy cut (cut out by hand with our Paper Snips) so they would really stand out!
The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped on a thin strip of Whisper White card stock using Calypso Coral ink. I cut a little flag on one end of the strip and tucked the other end into the roses.
This card is ideal for those fall birthdays. And it’s not hard to make! You could make several at a time to cover all those upcoming birthdays!

Today I have some fun things to show you, both products and a technique! First of all, this sweet birthday card uses the wreath from one of my current favorite stamp sets: Wishing You Well. Wreaths work for any card, right?? This card actually uses three (3) different stamp sets…fun!
Have you ever used Whisper White Craft Ink? It’s different from other inks in that it stamps on very bright white but dries much lighter. It makes a nice subtle pattern that can be used for a background piece.
And that’s what I’ve done here. I’ve stamped the berry branch stamp from the First Frost stamp set arbitrarily on a panel of Mint Macaron card stock to create a soft background for my card. I love the way it turned out!
Then I added a narrow panel of Powder Pink card stock embossed with the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love the depth of texture it adds! A square of Soft Sea Foam card stock was stamped with the wreath stamp using Crumb Cake ink.
The little Birthday Wishes sentient from the Varied Vases stamp set just fit perfectly on this card – almost like a banner on the wreath. You could use any small sentiment, that’s what makes this card so versatile 🙂

Today I want to show you the gorgeous leaves that you can create with the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies.
The three leaves shown here are intricately detailed. The different colors of card stock show off their beauty – Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, and Daffodil Delight. A bit of Bright Copper Shimmer Paint has been sponged on the Daffodil Delight leaf.
Behind the leaves is a piece of Calypso Coral card stock which has been embossed with the Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The embossed piece was then sponged with the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint. This paint gives a beautiful antique look.
The Bright Copper Shimmer Paint is fun, I mean seriously fun! You shake up the little jar, take off the lid, and put your Sponge Dauber into the lid to get some of the paint Then you just rub it onto the embossed panel. You can pat it on, but I’ve rubbed it on in circles so that the paint moves over the whole panel. It’s so pretty and shimmery!
