Cross of Hope Easter Card!

Stampin; Up! Cross of Hope - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The new Cross of Hope Framelits Dies are beautiful. There are four (4) cross dies of varying sizes, but I must say this one is my favorite. It’s a beautiful filagree cross, and it seems appropriate to be cut from Whisper White card stock ūüôā

The background of the front of this card is a piece of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. And, I have good news about this fabulous paper…it’s continuing into the new annual catalog! Yeah! I love it and if you’ve used it I know you feel the same!

When I look at these photos, the card almost looks like the front of a Bible! I didn’t intend that at all, but I have to say I love the way ti turned out. The flowers at the base of the cross are from the Blooming Basket stamp set which is a FREE gift during Sale-a-Bration (Blooming Basket Bundle is free with a minimum $100 purchase through March 31).

Stampin' Up! Happy Easter Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The flowers from the Blooming Basket Bundle were colored with the wonderful Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. Oh wow are these great markers. Each color comes in a light and a dark shade and you can get a set of each color including both shades! The leaves behind the flowers were punched with the Leaf Punch.

Hold on to Hope Easter Card!

Stampin'Up! Hold On to Hope - Prettypapercards - stampinup

Happy Monday my friends! I’ve been really liking the new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and find that I’m using it over and over! Today it created a great textured background for my floral Easter card ~ and I love it in Pool Party blue!

Stampin'Up! Happy Easter Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Of course any Easter card has to have pretty pastels! My color theme came from the triangle sheet of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper that’s layered on top of the basket embossed panel. I just began to build on that with some florals.

Stampin'Up! Easter card - Prettypapercards - stampinup

The beautiful white cross is really the centerpiece of the card. It’s created by a beautiful die from the Cross of Hope Framelits set. It’s really a classic die set and I’ll be keeping it for a long time ūüôā

Sneak Peek for Easter!

Oh boy! ¬†Over the past weekend I was able to get the new 2017-18 Annual Catalog early AND order some items!! ¬†Well, I got a big box from the UPS man today and whee–fun stuff was inside! ¬†I want to show you a few sneak peeks from my box ūüôā ¬†I’ve mixed a bit of the new with a bit of the retiring items!

So, what’s new? ¬†Can you spot the items? ¬†First, the sentiment is punched out with a brand new punch called the Pretty Label Punch (it really is pretty!). ¬†Do you see the Gold Faceted Gems? ¬†Big and bold and bling – love them!! ¬†And then finally, there’s a brand new In Color cardstock called Powder Pink. ¬†It’s a gorgeous color and seems to be almost a neutral…it blends with anything. Here on my card it forms the panel behind the dsp and the punched label.

Now for the retiring items. ūüôā ¬†The sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments set. ¬†It’s a lovely sentiment and all of the stamps in the set are great. ¬†And the fonts are really nice! ¬†If you need a good sentiment set, this is one worth getting.

The paper has been one of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog, it’s the Cupcakes & Carousels dsp (right now 40% OFF!), and the bigger label with gold is from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishments Kit (right now 30% OFF!).

Happy Easter Message!

You know, Easter is a happy message! ¬†I like it that the stamp set I used for this card is called “Easter Message” and this is a happy Easter card!

It’s a beautiful stamp set ~ I love these lilies! ¬†This was an easy card to make using a few ink pads and a blender pen. ¬†The lilies were stamped with Pear Pizzaz ink to start. ¬†Then I just filled them in by coloring using the blender pen and picking up a little ink from the lid of the ink pads.

And, of course, I had to add a bit of the gorgeous Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper! ¬†Don’t forget, the Assorted Glimmer Paper Pack is FREE through March 31st with a $50 order! ¬†Don’t miss out, order soon!

Do you stamp a little something on your envelope? ¬†I like to. ¬†It just gives a little hint of what’s inside ūüôā ¬†If we are sending a special handmade greeting card, I just think it’s nice to add a little something on the envelope. ¬†For today’s card I stamped a few lilies on the envelope corner.

Happy Easter!

Lambs.  The true Easter is about lambs.  One Lamb to be specific, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.  Easter is a precious time for me, and I love to focus on lambs.  So, I make lamb cards!

Is this little lamb darling or what?  Almost every Easter I bring out my little lamb cards and have classes on how to make them.  When we make them at class, we each make two cards, and guess what happens??  We end up with a FLOCK!!

To make the lambs, you will need a scallop circle die. ¬†Stampin’ Up! doesn’t make these, so I purchased another brand. ¬†That makes your lamb’s body. ¬†You then emboss his body with a flowery or baroque embossing folder. ¬†His wooly head is punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and embossed with the same embossing folder. ¬†A little sponging with Crumb Cake ink makes his wool look a bit more realistic ūüôā

Happy Easter.1

His face and ears are punched with a small oval punch and I added little google eyes (SO cute!). ¬†Tie a little knot or bow from any thin ribbon and adhere to his top knot. ¬†It’s an easy and fun little card to make. ¬†I love to display my card around the house as it reminds me of the TRUE Easter. ¬†God bless you!
