Petal Promenade has been one of my favorite designer series papers this past year. The petals, the flowers…they are gorgeous! Today’s card uses two sides of the same piece of designer paper. The Stitched Rectangle Dies were used to cut out the frame. The frame really sets off the flowers, doesn’t it?
This card also uses some of my favorite retiring 2017-2019 In Colors: Powder Pink and Fresh Fig. If you don’t have these colors yet, or you need to stock up before they retire on June 3rd, don’t wait to order! Here are the five retiring In Colors – click any color to see all the retiring items of that color!
Hi there my friends! Are you ready for a new year? Today’s card uses the Another Wonderful Year stamp set and the “step technique.” What is the step technique? It’s a great way to stamp something evenly in a row, like you see in today’s card! And, it uses our Stamparatus stamp positioning tool. Here’s a video tutorial showing how to create this card!
The Stamparatus is a must-have tool for stamping. I just LOVE mine! Click the picture below to find out more:
And we now have a darling carrying case for the Stamparatus:
The Stamparatus is a tool you will use over and over. The longer I have it the more I use it!
Do you have a Stamparatus or other stamp positioning tool? Have you ever used this technique? I’d love to know! Please leave me a comment below!
Today’s card is super fun for two reasons: (1) because I got to use a brand new stamp set called Happiness Surrounds and, (2) because it’s for the Global Design Project Challenge for this week! And, the challenge is to create a card for Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary ~ whee!!
It seems that a congratulations card for Stampin’ Up! should be really special! I decided to use some pretty colors to create a watercolor background. I used an Aqua Painter to wet the watercolor paper and then added the colors. I also stamped one of the flower stamps with the Gorgeous Grape ink and then added water. It pretty much disappeared into the background. When the colors blended to my satisfaction, I used a dry tissue to absorb the excess water and then I dried the paper with the heat tool.
When the paper was dry I stamped it with the medallion stamp in Soft Suede Ink and then went back with a Blender Pen and added some of the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint (for bling!). Some dots were stamped with a stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set and a sponge dauber with the Shimmer Paint.
And of course I had to add a linen bow! The congratulations sentiment is in a great font ~ just perfect for a 30th birthday celebration!
This stamp set is a great photopolymer set and is part of the Snowflake Showcase Suite ~ only available for a limited time ~ until November 30 or while supplies last. This stamp set is good for all kinds of occasions and times of year ~ I love it!

Here it is ~ the first Sneak Peek of the new 2018 Holiday Catalog!! And all this week you’ll be seeing new products! Yippee! I’m starting off with my FAVORITE bundle in the catalog, the First Frost Bundle! The Catalog goes live on September 5th, so start making your list as you see my sneak peeks 🙂
This set is SO pretty. Look at these flowers! Here I’ve stamped them in Flirty Flamingo ink, and the way the stamp is made gives the light and dark shading. The vine stamp has similar shading. Pretty, right?
The Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies coordinate beautifully with the stamp set. There are 11 dies in this set.
This card just barely scratches the surface of what can be done with this bundle. I will be showing you more in the upcoming weeks!

Today’s card is a fun Congratulations Card which was created with three different stamp sets!! That’s a great thing about stamping, you can mix and match ALL the stamps you have 🙂
The design for this card is based on the sketch challenge over at Global Design Project. To play the challenge, I created a card based on their sketch for this week. Here’s it is:
You can see that I used the “congrats” sentiment from the Vertical Greetings stamp set to create the three vertical stripes. I set them on a Blackberry Bliss circle punched with the Starburst Punch. I love the contrast of the Blackberry Bliss card stock and the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.
The spray of flowers was stamped using the Love What You Do stamp set and colored in with a Rich Raspberry Colored Pencil. Then I blended the colored area with a Blender Pen.The Blender Pen has a bit of alcohol in it that makes the pencil marks flow together and look almost like a marker.
Then I stamped the large “congratulations” sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year set. I made today’s card for someone who recently had a wonderful thing happen! I love being able to send a fun card to show support for great things that happen in other’s lives.
Thank you for stopping by today! Have a fabulous week!!
Isn’t this girl adorable with her huge bunch of balloons? I love the way her toes are curled in a bit 🙂 This is one of the Host Sets offered by Stampin’ Up! to those who place an order of $150 or more. There are several nice Host Sets to choose from but I really like this set.
You can simply stamp the outline of the balloons, or you can can stamp the outline and then color the balloons with Stampin’ Blends, or watercolor pencils. For this card I cut out circles using the Layering Circles Framelits Does and card stock that matched the colors I used in her skirt. I colored her shoes and skirt with Stampin’ Blends.
