New Video: Let’s Talk Scraps!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Wishes Birthday - Peggy Noe - stampinup
Today’s card was created completely from scraps I had in my scrap tin – it’s true! And I’ve made a fun spontaneous video showing you my scrap tin and how I made the card. So if you’re ready to have a few laughs and learn how you can create a card from YOUR own scraps, watch this video!

Here’s a close up picture of my scrap tin. What do you keep your scraps in? I’d love to know 🙂

The Butterfly Wishes stamp set is the one used on today’s card. It’s so versatile.

The envelope for today’s card was decorated with some of the same washi tape used on the card. Just run it along the left side of the envelope as I did below.

Pretty Pointer: Add a bit of coordinating ribbon to any card to take it from ok to wow!  This card would be “ok” without the ribbon, but when you add that additional color from the ribbon, it goes to “wow”!

I’d sure love to see what you create from your scraps! Remember to send a picture to me at [email protected] If I get several photos I’ll post them so everyone can be inspired!

Little Elephant Baby Card!

Stampin' Up! Little Elephant Baby Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

When you need to make a baby card, the Little Elephant Cling Stamp Set is perfect! It’s SO adorable! I mean, look at this elephant…isn’t he too cute?

Stampin' Up! Little Elephant Baby Card - prettypapercards - stampinup

For this card I used a piece of Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper on top of the card base. This Balmy Blue striped pattern is just right for a little boy baby 🙂 And one of the In Colors, Blueberry Bushel, looks so nice with it.

One thing I really like about this stamp set is that it has a coordinating Elephant Builder Punch. Do you see the elephant’s ear? It was punched from Balmy Blue card stock using the punch and then attached to the elephant with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

This stamp set has a stamp with three fun balloons. Here I’ve stamped them in Real Red ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock and then punched it out using the Starburst Punch.

A stitched heart frame was cut out using the Be Mine dies and then placed over the balloon piece. A piece of Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain ribbon was tied around the designer series paper, over the point of the heart piece. Then the elephant was attached over the ribbon with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

The sweet sentiment was stamped on a piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock using Versamark Ink and then embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It was punched on it’s side using the Timeless Label Punch. After you punch, cut off the other half and attach the sentiment to the card like a little banner!

Lacy Pressed Petals!

Stampin' Up! Pressed Petals 1- Peggy Noe - stampinup

This card features the new Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper ~ oh my goodness, it’s so beautiful. It has lovely pressed flowers; and it’s simple yet with a fresh vintage feel.  I just have to say that this year our Designer Series Papers are out of this world!!

Here’s a video showing you the whole Pressed Petal Suite:

Today’s card starts with a Rococo Rose card base topped with a piece of the Pressed Petals paper. A double panel was created with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies: the larger piece is cut from Very Vanilla card stock, and that is topped with another piece of the Pressed Petals paper cut with a die one size smaller that the first one. I love this look!

Before adhering the double panel, a Pearlized Doily was watercolored with an Aqua Painter and Rococo Rose ink. Allow it to dry and adhere it to the center of the card with dots of Multipurpose Glue.

Cut a 1″ x 4″ piece of the reverse side of the designer series paper and adhere it across the lower portion of the card, over a bit of the doily. Tie a piece of Scalloped Lace Trim around the double panel, making a bow in the front. Adhere this panel onto the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut the “thanks” sentiment from Very Vanilla card stock using the Well Written Dies. Adhere the first three letters of the word “thanks” to the edge of the panel with a few dots of Multipurpose Glue. The rest of the word will be unattached. Add a few of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones!

A Sweet Friendship!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Wishes Friend Butterfly - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The Butterfly Wishes Cling Stamp Set is so nice! Sometimes I think it has a Japanese garden feel. Then I think the branch and flowers look like dogwoods. Then you have four different butterflies. Wow!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Wishes Friend - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The colors used on today’s card are Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, and Crumb Cake. It’s a lovely color palette.

This set has five great sentiments, including “Welcome.” That’s a sentiment you don’t find too often. Truthfully, I’ve looked for this sentiment when there’s a new neighbor or a new co-worker, and had a hard time finding it, so I’m so glad to see it in this stamp set!

This butterfly was fussy cut and attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. But some other butterflies in this set coordinate with the Butterfly Duet Punch!
