You are going to LOVE the new Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper! It coordinates with four (4) different punches and you can use it so many ways! On this post I’m showing you a card that uses two paper designs that coordinate with two of the punches, and tonight on my FACEBOOK LIVE AT 4:00 PM PACIFIC TIME I’m going to show you another card that uses a different pattern and a different punch! CLICK HERE to go over to my Facebook page!
There are four different designs in this paper, one for each of the coordinating punches. Today’s card features the tulip design and the blossom design. The card is a square, with a card base of Terracotta Tile card stock cut at 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4.” I’ve used three punched tulips and 5 punched leaves, all from one sheet of paper. The leaves are part of the design and are very easy to punch out.The tulips and leaves were adhered to a 4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock using Multipurpose Glue.
The sweet little flowers were punched out of another of the papers using the Small Bloom Punch. This punch is FREE with any order of $50 or more during Sale-a-Bration. The flowers were adhered with Multipurpose Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Some White Baker’s Twine was twisted twice around the Whisper White panel and tied with a little bow. Then the entire panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I mean, how easy is it to punch out flowers and glue them on to a card? All you need is this great paper and some punches! 🙂
Please pop over to my Facebook page (Pretty Paper Cards) tonight at 4:00 PM Pacific Time and we will make another card together! I’d sure love to see you there!
The Peaceful Poppies Suite is absolutely gorgeous! There are so many items that all work together to create spectacular paper projects. Today’s card uses the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and the Peaceful Moments Bundle. This is one of TWO bundles that belong to this suite.
The Poppies Moments dies that are part of this bundle are really neat. Look at the flower and the leaf above. They are made of 2 parts, one base and an overlying piece. The leaf has a lighter large piece (like a base) below and a darker piece that sits on top like an outline. As for the flower, the base is vellum that has been colored on the underside with a Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. Then the outline die was cut from Whisper White card stock and laid over the base. The outline pieces were adhered to the bases with tiny dots of Multipurpose Glue.
The beautiful Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper really steals the show on this card. The backs and fronts of each sheet are amazing!
We are making this card at my local classes this weekend. (Don’t tell though!) I think they are really going to enjoy putting it together 🙂
For every $50 order you place you can choose a FREE ITEM from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog!

People are hurting in our world, and one way that each of us can make a difference is by sending a card and praying. And I like the Positive Thoughts stamp set because it helps me to create the kind of card I like to send. The fact that we now have wonderful dies to coordinate with this stamp set makes it that much better!
In addition to some great sentiments, this set has a beautiful cluster of leaves. On today’s card I stamped the leaf stamp twice, once fully inked with Pretty Peacock ink, and a second time without re-inking. This produces the different shades that add variety to the card. They were then cut with the coordinating die from the NEW Nature’s Thoughts Dies.
The Nature’s Thoughts Dies have some additional dies that are very neat, and I used them on this card. The Crumb Cake piece was cut from a rectangular die that has some detailed edging. And do you see the lacy-like strips? Those were cut using another die from the set.
Oh, I forgot to tell you that you also get an adorable tiny butterfly die (do you see him on the card?) and some additional little leaves and a flower. This die set has some really great dies!
The sentiment on today’s card was created using a piece of Whisper White card stock that was stamped using the stamp that has three words on it (Hugs, Prayers, Love). I stamped it using Blackberry Bliss ink and, using my new Mini Paper Cutter, I trimmed out the word “Prayers.”
Do you have the new Mini Paper Cutter? The only way to get this darling little cutter is to join Stampin’ Up! before March 31st. During Sale-a-Bration we have a fabulous deal going! For only $99 you get #125 worth of products, the FREE Mini Paper Cutter, a FREE sampler of designer series paper, and a FREE stamp set of your choice! You could choose Positive Thoughts as your free stamp set! There is absolutely NO OBLIGATION after you join. It’s an amazing special deal. To learn more and to join, CLICK HERE.
If you send cards to those who are sick or need some hugs and prayer, this is a beautiful stamp set. I’ll be using it alot.
Today is the release day for 5 fabulous new dies and 1 new designer series paper ~ all coordinating with existing products! And I’m going to be showing you some of these products over the next few days.
The card I have for you today features the NEW Ladybug Dies! There are 15 dies in this new set. Look closely at the card and I’ll tell you about them. Of course the ladybugs have dies. You only see two here, but there are four different ladybug dies, one for each ladybug stamp in the coordinating stamp set.
There are dies for the grass. There are two flower dies, one for the full flower and one for the partial flower. And there are leaf and stem dies! You can really make a cute scene, like I did here! There’s a fun little swirl die that simply stitches anything it’s placed on. I didn’t use it on today’s card but will use it soon!
The background paper used on today’s card is from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (FREE with a $50 order). The ladybugs and grass and flowers were adhered to a strip of Whisper White card stock which was then glued onto the designer series paper.
Some Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon was tied around the designer series paper at the base of the ladybug panel. It was tied in a small bow in the center. Then the entire piece was glued to the front of a Whisper White card base.
These dies are so adorable and they create delightful projects! If you like them, get them while you can as they are only available while supplies last. To see the other products, watch the video below:
It’s the month for love, amour, and romance — and today’s card is perfect! You can use this card for Valentine’s Day, weddings, anniversaries, or any loving event 🙂
The standout on this card is the heart made of different colored strips of card stock. Here I’ve used Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Lovely Lipstick, and Cherry Cobbler.
Pretty Pointer: To create this heart, start with a 4-1/4″ square of any color card stock (I used Whisper White). Cut 1″ x 4-1/4″ strips of the colors you want in the heart. Adhere the strips horizontally across the square with Multipurpose Glue. When dry, cut with one of the large hearts in the Stitched Be Mine Die set.
This card uses the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper that’s FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration. Are you asking where is that Golden Honey paper? Well, it’s the black and white stripe! All of the Golden Honey dsp is backed with a black and white pattern and I love it!
On top of the striped layer is a smaller piece of Vellum card stock that has been embossed with the Scripty Embossing Folder. The heart was then adhered to the Vellum using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Some leaves and sprigs were punched and tucked under the edges of the heart. The “amour” sentiment was cut from Whisper White card stock using the gorgeous Parisian Dies. And some tiny hearts were cut using one of the dies from the Stitched Be Mine Die set. I glued them arbitrarily around the card and then added some From My Heart Faceted Gems.
This is one of my favorite cards in a long time. I hope you like it too!

Today on my Friday Facebook Live we are going to make a darling Valentine Pillow Box! Set your alarm for 4:00 pm Pacific Time and we will create it together! Here is the link to my Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/PrettyPaperCards/
A Pillow Box is a darling treat holder ~ perfect for holidays that just call out “candy” ~ like Valentine’s day! This treat holder is a snap to create with the Stampin’ Up! Kraft Pillow Boxes. They are pre-made (which means easy) and SO cute! I keep some on hand all the time for various occasions.
Decorating these cuties is easy. This design works for any occasion. First, create a belly band. That’s a band that goes around the center of the pillow box. This is a great way to decorate this type of box because (1) it can slide off and on, and, (2) you can attach anything onto the front of it.
The belly band on this pillow box is 6-1/4″ x 2-1/2.” For the Valentine Pillow Box I’ve used the pretty From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. Score the paper at 1/4″ and 3.” Wrap around the box and secure on the 1/4″ fold using Tear & Tape.
Tie a piece of Real Red 3/8″ Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon in a bow around the belly band, positioning the bow at the upper front edge of the box.
Punch a heart from one of the pieces of the From My Heart paper and adhere it with Tombow Multipurpose Glue to a contrasting Heart Doily. Adhere the doily to the belly band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I loved these pillow boxes so much that I made them as favors for my last team meeting of all my demonstrators. They loved them! Here is the way I displayed them at our get together 🙂
